Uike 'o e lea Tonga - Tongan Language Week 2015

Malo e lelei from the friendly islands of Tonga!

The theme for Tongan Language Week 2015 is:
Fakakoloa Aotearoa 'aki'a faiva 'a e Tonga
(Enriching Aotearoa New Zealand with Tongan Arts)

This year Rowandale School will unite as one to create a school-wide project. Together we will be creating our very own Rowandale School Tapa Cloth.

In keeping in line with this years theme, each class will create their own class tapa cloth. They will then be assembled together to create our Rowandale Tapa Cloth. Here are some diagrams to illustrate what it will look like.

Keep checking in each day as classes will be uploading photos of their class tapa cloths.

Every morning tea this week there will be two Tongan students who will teach the staff of Rowandale School some words and phrases in the Tongan Language.
