SAMOA LANGUAGE WEEK - Daily Phrases

During our Samoa Language week our Samoan teachers shared with staff daily Samoan phrases and sayings. They instructed the staff on the correct pronunciation of words and they had the opportunity to practice it on each other.
Teachers were able to use the sayings in their class.

Samoa Language week - Samoa Day celebration

We concluded our Samoa Language Week with a celebratory Samoa Day Assembly
The day involved staff and students wearing their Samoa attire

Then we had our Assembly which was led once again by our Samoan senior students, and assited by our very supportive staff.
Our leaders did an amazing job speaking in Samoan and English

A wonderful turn out from our parents to support their children

We were treated to a variety of entertainment by some of our classes, a Pasifika group acknowledging our Samoa culture through dance, a Siva by our Head girl, our neighbour Clendon Park School, and a special Siva Samoa by our guest speaker: Metotisi Komiti-Faalavaau
